MTRA Mission:
To promote recreational, equestrian trail riding by: the promotion, developement, and maintenance of trails; the distribution of trail riding information; coordination of, and cooperation with government agencies and private individuals.
Did You Know?
MTRA is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. All of our Officers and Board of Directors donate their time and skills to benefit the organization.
Why Become a Member?
Thanks to your membership and donations, we are able to support Minnesota horse trails and campgrounds. As an added bonus, we have partnered with the DNR to secure Federal matching funds for all MTRA dollars used on the trails and campgrounds.
Our Board of Directors are active with the MN Trail Pass Advisory Committee and Parks & Trails Council. We also work closely with the MN Horse Council and MN DNR. We strive to keep you updated with current affairs.
MTRA sponsors 3 Round-up rides a year and several mini riders throughout the year. These are family oriented rides held in different areas of the State. Most are followed by a pot-luck. We sponsor one out-of-state ride each year known as the "Adventure Ride". In addition to our own rides, once you become a member, you will receive 6 newsletters listing other rides being held in the State as well as many informative articles.
We encourage you to join MTRA to ensure the future of Minnesota horse trails and campgrounds and have fun while you do it.
